  • Donation Information: When you make donations, we collect donation amount and donation frequency. Note: Payment information is processed directly by the nonprofit’s selected payment processor (such as PayPal) and is not stored on our servers.
  • Volunteer Information: When you sign up as a volunteer, we collect your skills, availability, interests, and contact details.
  • Communications: When you contact us directly, we may collect information you provide in your communications.

2.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • Usage Data: Information on how you use the Platform, including pages visited, time spent on pages, navigation paths, and features used.
  • Device Information: Information about your device, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to collect and analyze data about how users interact with our Platform. This helps us improve our service and user experience. The analytics data is anonymized and does not personally identify you.

  • Nonprofits receive your name, contact information, donation amount (if applicable), and any message you include.
  • For volunteer opportunities, we share information relevant to the specific opportunity.
  • We provide donation receipts and yearly donation summaries on behalf of verified nonprofits.

4.2 With Service Providers

  • We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, and other business partners who perform services on our behalf, such as:
    • Payment processors (for platform fees, such as PayPal)
    • Cloud hosting providers
    • Analytics providers
    • Email service providers
    • Customer support systems

Note: For donations made to nonprofits, the payment processing is handled directly by the nonprofit’s chosen payment processor, and those transactions occur directly between you and the nonprofit’s payment processor.

4.3 Business Transfers

  • If Gudsy is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • We may disclose your information where required by law or if we believe that disclosure is necessary to:
    • Comply with legal process, governmental request, or applicable law

  • The tracking will only apply to that nonprofit’s profile pages
  • The nonprofit will be responsible for compliance with applicable privacy laws

Gudsy™ itself does not run advertisements or participate in ad syndication networks.

9.3 Use of AI and Automated Systems

Gudsy™ uses AI-powered tools (such as semantic search and recommendation systems) to improve the Platform experience. These tools may process information you provide (such as nonprofit descriptions, donation activity, or volunteer preferences) to generate better search results, recommendations, or matches.

Important clarifications:

  • We do not use your personal information, donation data, or nonprofit profile data to train AI models.
  • Our AI systems are used solely to enhance Platform functionality and are not designed to create independent profiles of users or nonprofits.
  • Content that nonprofits share publicly on the Platform may still be visible to third-party AI systems that crawl public websites. Gudsy has no control over how external systems use publicly available information.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Platform only with parental or guardian consent.
